CMS Extends Marketplace Annual Enrollment Period for Plan Years 2022 and Beyond

On September 17, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that for plan years of 2022 and beyond, the annual enrollment period for individuals applying on the Marketplace will be November 1 through January 15.

Individuals must apply by December 15, 2021 for a January 1, 2022 effective date. If individuals apply between December 16, 2021 and January 15, 2022, their coverage will begin February 1, 2022.
